A Far Infrared Sauna uses light to create heat. It's name, far-infrared sauna — "far" describes where the infrared waves fall on the light spectrum. A traditional sauna uses heat (steam) to warm the air, which in turn warms your body. A far infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you. The attraction of saunas in general is that they cause reactions similar to those elicited by moderate exercise, such as vigorous sweating and increased heart rate. A far infrared sauna produces these results at lower temperatures than does a regular steam sauna, which makes it accessible to people who can't tolerate the heat of a conventional sauna. For health and safety, it is essential that ALL clients using the sauna are to be suitably attired for their sauna session. - Swimwear/ shorts - Water is essential! Recommend a BPA free water bottle while in the sauna. - Towels will be provided along with shower facilities. The health and safety of my clients is my highest priority so please view the cautions and contraindications below for this service prior to booking. Cautions It is highly recommended that those with the following conditions get a medical clearance from their GP before booking this service. Without this clearance, your session may be canceled at the discretion of Sacred Body staff. - high blood pressure, a previous heart attack, or other cardiovascular problem - have a history of dizziness, fainting spells, heat sensitivity, narcolepsy, or seizures - suffer from any bleeding disorders - children ages 13 - 17 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
